Allison Voigts is a freelance writer and photographer whose work has appeared in publications including Budget Travel magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, Global Traveler magazine, The Houston Chronicle, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Rolling Stone Australia.

After graduating with a BS in Journalism from Boston University, Allison has worked as a freelance writer and photographer in countries including China, Costa Rica, and South Korea. More recently she authored a book of profiles entitled Libre Soy: Portraits of a New Guatemala.
